This is the perfect book to read as you set out on your Agile journey. It gives you the good understanding of the Scrum Framework, that you need when starting up your first Scrum Team(s).

Reading tips

  • The Agile Principles chapter (3) provides you with what´s the thinking behind and how to use them in practice. It also compares traditional plan driven development with Agile.
  • A key to be successful with Scrum is how you work with requirements in the agile setting and how to create and work with the Product Backlog (chapter 5-6)
  • The Scrum Roles chapters (9-11) are recommended to read with priority, as getting the roles right Is crucial and takes time.
  • The Scrum events chapters (19-22) gives you a place to start from when you get underway with facilitating your first events.
  • The book also serves as a good reference to come back to as your are further on in your agile journey, now reading with experienced eyes.
